The film begins with a warning that the stunts performed in the movie are dangerous and should not be attempted by viewers. The first stunt features Knoxville being shot with a stun gun, followed by various other stunts such as jumping into a sewage tank, getting attacked by a swarm of bees, and riding down a steep hill in a shopping cart.
Throughout the film, the group travels to various locations and performs a wide range of stunts, such as setting off fireworks in their underwear, performing a "rocket skateboarding" stunt, and trying to ride a bike into a lake.
The film also features several pranks, such as the "alligator tightrope" prank, where a fake alligator is placed on a tightrope, causing the performer to fall into a pool below. There is also a segment where the group visits Japan and performs a series of stunts, such as getting hit with nunchucks and being catapulted into a wall.
As the film progresses, the stunts become increasingly dangerous, culminating in a segment where Knoxville dons a suit made of raw meat and is attacked by a trained attack dog.
Despite the dangerous nature of the stunts, the film is a lighthearted comedy that is meant to entertain and shock audiences. The film was a commercial success and spawned several sequels, cementing its place in popular culture as a cult classic.
