In the bustling underground of London, a series of mysterious disappearances have caught the attention of the authorities. As the investigation progresses, it becomes clear that the victims all have one thing in common – they were last seen in the vicinity of the subway system. Detective Inspector Donald Marsden is assigned to the case, and he teams up with a young and ambitious police officer, Sergeant Roger Richardson, to unravel the truth behind the disappearances. As they delve deeper into the case, they discover that the disappearances are linked to a group of workers who were trapped in a collapsed tunnel during the construction of the subway decades ago. These workers, presumed dead, have actually survived and resorted to cannibalism to stay alive. Living in the dark and dank tunnels beneath the city, they have developed a primitive and feral society. Marsden and Richardson must navigate the labyrinthine tunnels of the underground to confront the cannibalistic survivors and put an end to their reign of terror. As they face the horrors of the underground and the moral dilemmas that come with it, they must also confront their own inner demons. The movie culminates in a thrilling and suspenseful showdown between the detectives and the underground dwellers, leading to a shocking and unexpected conclusion.
