City of Joy is a heartwarming drama that follows the story of a wealthy American surgeon, Max Lowe, who travels to Calcutta, India, in search of spiritual enlightenment after experiencing a traumatic event. Together, the unlikely trio works tirelessly to improve the living conditions and healthcare access for the residents of the City of Joy. They face numerous challenges, including opposition from corrupt officials and local gangs, but their determination and compassion ultimately bring about positive change and empower the community to strive for a better future.
