One day, she discovers that all the library books she has checked out were previously borrowed by a boy named Seiji Amasawa. Intrigued by this mysterious boy, Shizuku becomes determined to find out more about him. As she explores the city, she meets an old cat statue at a shop called 'The Antique Shop'. The cat statue seems to be a representation of her inner thoughts and feelings, and it inspires her to pursue her dreams. Shizuku also meets a kind old man named Nishi, who encourages her to follow her passion for writing. Meanwhile, Shizuku's relationship with Seiji develops as she learns that he aspires to become a violin maker. As they spend time together, they both inspire and support each other's dreams. Shizuku begins to write a story based on her experiences, and with the help and encouragement of her friends and family, she decides to pursue her dream of becoming a writer. The movie beautifully depicts the journey of self-discovery, young love, and the pursuit of one's passions. It is a heartwarming tale of finding one's voice and following one's heart.
