Greenland is a gripping disaster thriller that follows the story of John Garrity, his estranged wife Allison, and their young son Nathan as they struggle to survive a cataclysmic event. The film begins with John, a structural engineer, receiving a presidential alert on his phone informing him of a comet named Clarke that is on a collision course with Earth. The alert states that fragments of the comet will impact various locations around the world, causing mass destruction and potentially leading to the extinction of the human race. Amidst the chaos and panic, the government initiates a lottery system to determine who will be evacuated to safety in underground bunkers in Greenland, the location of the only known sanctuary on the planet. John and his family are among the lucky few selected for evacuation, and they embark on a perilous journey to reach the designated military base where they will be airlifted to safety. However, they encounter numerous obstacles and dangers along the way, including violent mobs, limited resources, and the constant threat of comet fragments striking the Earth. As they navigate through the increasingly chaotic and lawless landscape, the family's bonds are tested, and they must rely on their courage, resilience, and determination to survive. Amidst the devastation and despair, John and Allison find themselves reconciling their past grievances and rekindling their love for each other as they fight for their lives and the future of their son. The film culminates in a heart-pounding race against time as the family faces the ultimate test of their strength and willpower in a desperate bid to secure their place on the evacuation aircraft and escape the impending apocalypse. Greenland is a riveting tale of human endurance, sacrifice, and the unwavering power of hope in the face of overwhelming adversity.
