In the remote Australian town of Western Australia, two estranged brothers, Colin and Les, have been living and farming side by side for 40 years. Despite living on the same land, they have not spoken to each other in years, communicating only through their sheep dogs. Their feud dates back to their youth, when Les won the local sheep dog trials, a victory that Colin has never been able to forgive. The brothers' already strained relationship is further tested when a rare and deadly illness threatens their sheep. As the authorities order a mass cull of all sheep in the area, the brothers must put aside their differences and come together to save their beloved flocks. With the help of their community, including a compassionate veterinarian and a determined young woman, the brothers work against the clock to find a way to preserve their heritage and livelihood. Through their shared love for their sheep and the land, Colin and Les begin to heal their fractured relationship and rediscover the bond that once united them.
