In a dystopian future, the society is controlled by a totalitarian regime that suppresses emotions and individuality. The citizens are assigned alphanumeric codes as names, and are required to take mind-altering drugs to suppress their feelings. THX 1138 is a factory worker who starts to question the system after stopping his medication. He begins to experience emotions and desires, which are forbidden in this society. THX's curiosity leads him to explore the underground world where he meets SEN 5241, a woman who also questions the regime. Together, they plan to escape from the oppressive city. As they try to evade the authorities, THX and SEN encounter various obstacles and dangers. They uncover the truth about the regime's control and manipulation of the citizens. The couple fights for their freedom and the right to live as individuals, leading to a dramatic and suspenseful climax. The film explores themes of oppression, conformity, and the human spirit's resilience against authoritarian rule.
