The movie begins with Carol, a young and beautiful woman, having a series of disturbing and vivid dreams where she sees herself murdering her neighbor, Julia Durer. These dreams haunt her, and she becomes increasingly disturbed by them. One day, Carol's husband, Frank, receives a strange letter from Julia, accusing Carol of the murder that she has been dreaming about. Carol is shocked and confused, as she has never had any ill feelings towards Julia. She decides to visit Julia to clear the air and prove her innocence. However, when she arrives at Julia's house, she finds her dead body, exactly as she had seen in her dreams. The police are called, and Carol becomes the prime suspect in Julia's murder. As the investigation unfolds, dark secrets about Carol's life and the people around her start to surface. She discovers that her husband, Frank, has been having an affair with Julia, and he may have had a motive to kill her. Carol's mental state begins to deteriorate as she struggles to separate reality from her haunting dreams. She seeks the help of a psychiatrist, who delves into her subconscious to unravel the truth behind her dreams. Through hypnosis, suppressed memories and shocking revelations come to light, leading Carol to uncover the true identity of Julia's murderer. The movie takes the audience on a thrilling and suspenseful journey as Carol fights to clear her name and uncover the dark secrets that have been plaguing her subconscious.
