Rebecca and John, a troubled couple, inherit an old castle in Italy from John's estranged mother. They move there with their young daughter, and soon strange and terrifying events begin to unfold. Unbeknownst to them, the castle hides a dark secret - a deformed and deranged man, the 'castle freak', has been imprisoned in the depths of the castle for years. The freak escapes and begins to terrorize the family, causing a series of violent and gruesome incidents. As the family tries to uncover the truth behind the castle and the freak, they must confront their own inner demons and strained relationship. The castle becomes a claustrophobic and nightmarish battleground as they fight for survival against the monstrous freak. Amidst the chaos and horror, they must find a way to escape the castle and put an end to the terror that has plagued them.
