Sasha and Nick are two single people who have both been unlucky in love. After a series of failed relationships, they are each facing financial struggles and are in need of a quick solution. When they meet at a wedding, they come up with a plan to solve their problems by pretending to be engaged. They figure that by faking a relationship, they can each benefit financially. Sasha needs money to open her own salon, while Nick is trying to avoid his bossy and overbearing mother who is pressuring him to get married. They agree to go through with the fake engagement and start planning a wedding to make it look convincing. As they spend more time together, they begin to develop a genuine connection and start to question whether their fake engagement could turn into something real. However, their plan hits a snag when their families become involved and start to push for a real wedding. Sasha and Nick must navigate the complications of their fake engagement and decide whether it's worth risking their hearts for the possibility of a true love that started as a lie.
